So I've been intending to restart my web page for quite a while. And I've made several starts at it. However, I've kept running into a wall of actually starting to post items.

I think I've figured out a major reason why.

Each time I look at restarting the site and blog, I start off trying to figure out what categories and tags I want to have, and work on getting those set up. And then the next time I come back, I look at them and think that they're not quite right. So I spend time fixing them.

Lather, rise, repeat.

To quote Montesquieu, "The best is the mortal eneny of the good."

So one again, I go to relaunch. But this time, I'm going to try something different. No categories, no tags. Just posting. Once I've got a number of posts about some topic, maybe I'll add a category or tag, and go back and put those posts under them. But instead of deciding before-hand everything that I want to write about, I'll just write about what I feel I want to write about at the time. Let the writing determine the categories, instead of the other way around.

It feels somewhat freeing.

We'll see how it goes.
